Going out best bets Dec. 14 to 20

Blues: Ottawa’s favourite blues trio, MonkeyJunk, will traverse the Valley this weekend, bringing their high-energy show from Renfrew to Wakefield. Band members Steve Marriner, Tony Diteodoro and Matt Sobb play the intimate former church, Batstone’s Northern Ramble, in Renfrew at 8 p.m. Friday (tickets $35 at northernramble.com), then cross the river for two shows at the Black Sheep Inn. They play at 8 p.m. Saturday night, and give an all-ages holiday matinee at 4 p.m. Sunday. T
