Gatineau man, 89, dies after struck by a car Tuesday

An 89-year-old man has died of injuries sustained when he was struck by a car on Aylmer Road in Gatineau Tuesday.
Police say the man was struck in front of 203 Aylmer Rd., near the Galeries d’Aylmer shopping centre, at about 11:30 a.m.
He was taken to l’Hôpital de Hull, but was later transferred to the Civic campus of the Ottawa Hospital for more specialized treatment.
The treatment was unsuccessful and he was declared deceased at the Ottawa Hospital.
