Gatineau asks citizens' views on extending Hull bar hours

Gatineau council is asking residents whether they feel it’s time the city went back to a 3 a.m. closing time for drinking spots in the Vieux Hull area.
The former city of Hull moved closing times back to 2 a.m. in 1997 to “harmonize” the regulations with their Ottawa neighbours. The move was mainly to cut down on cross-border migration after Ottawa’s closing time of 2 a.m.
