Free overdose kits, training part of stigma-busting Recovery Day event

Three people turned up at the first Recovery Day Ottawa in 2012.
On Saturday, a throng attending the City Hall event picked up more than 1,300 free naloxone kits and learned how to use them to save the lives of those overdosing on opioids.
From leather-clad members of a motorcycle club to parents pushing strollers, people donned buttons declaring themselves a #RecoveryAlly and received the minutes-long training from a doctor or pharmacist.
