Fraudsters pretending to be RCMP officers, Mounties warn

Grifters are “spoofing” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s phone number then posing as police officers and demanding cash for purportedly unpaid taxes when the mark answers.
Victims are threatened with arrest, the Mounties warned Tuesday.
