Fourth baby killdeer recovering, making friends
The baby killdeer that hatched at Bluesfest after its parents left with their first three chicks is recovering nicely, and it has made a friend.
Nearly two weeks old now, it is out of an incubator and housed in an area with several other young birds.
“It is now eating on its own and practising its insect hunting skills, which is great, but it is still not out of the woods yet. We’re keeping a close watch on its food intake and overall condition,” says a statement on Tuesda
