Four charged as 'high-risk takedown' nets drugs, loaded handguns

Ottawa police are hailing drug officers who nabbed four men in a “high-risk takedown” Wednesday that didn’t just net narcotics but took two guns off the street.
One was a loaded semi-automatic handgun; the other handgun was one of several firearms stolen in a Gatineau break-in on Dec. 3.
It was about 8 p.m. Wednesday when officers spotted alleged drug deals being conducted from a vehicle near Tillbury Avenue and Churchill Avenue North in the city’s west end.
