Flipped car forces closure of Woodroffe Avenue

A driver had to be cut from her vehicle by Ottawa firefighters on Friday after her cap flipped near the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Iris Street.
According to police, the incident forced the closure of the northbound lanes of Woodroffe Avenue between Iris Street and Baseline Road around 12:24 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they found a woman trapped inside the vehicle. They removed the front windshield and pulled her out.
The woman had only minor injuries.
