Firefighters tackle blazes in Kinburn, Cedarview

Firefighters were called to combat a pair of fires Thursday afternoon: one in the basement of a Kinburn home, the second that a house near Cedarhill Golf and Country Club.
Ottawa Fire Services reported at about 1:30 p.m. that they were on Terraview Drive near Panmure Road in Kinburn where smoke was visible inside the home and they’d confirmed a working fire was underway.
The occupants were able to escape safely and the fire didn’t escalate to a second alarm.
