Firefighters put out blaze on Hawthorne Road

Ottawa firefighters rushed to a home at 4885 Hawthorne Rd. just before 9 p.m. Saturday after reports of heavy, black smoke and flames coming from the building.
Crews arrived to find the attached garage “fully involved”, and it wasn’t until 9:55 that the blaze was declared under control.
The home’s occupants were all out of the building by the time firefighters arrived, but Ottawa Fire Services said one person was in the care of the Ottawa Paramedic Service, which was not
