Firefighters help rescue dog that fell through ice in Manotick

Ottawa firefighters were called to a Manotick park Thursday to help rescue a dog that had fallen through the ice.
According to firefighters, a large white dog ventured out onto thin ice at David Bartlett Park.
The dog broke through the ice and fell into the water around 12:50 p.m.
At least one person attempted to navigate the thin ice in an attempt to rescue the dog.
Firefighters arrived at the scene with specialized equipment a short time later.
