Firefighters douse blaze at Little Italy high-rise

Firefighters extinguished a multi-level three-alarm blaze at a high-rise condo under construction on Champagne Avenue South in Little Italy, Ottawa police said Monday.
Fire said the flames on all floors of the Ashcroft Homes building had been doused around 12:45 p.m. Secondary searches were underway. The call required 50 firefighters to get the blaze under control.
Paramedics said a man in his 30s was treated and released at the scene with minor burns on his neck.
