Firefighter hurt in Stittsville blaze on the mend, chief reports

The condition of a firefighter who was hurt when he plunged through the floor of a burning Stittsville home continues to improve, the city’s fire chief said Thursday.
He is no longer intubated as he receives care including management of his pain, Chief Gerry Pingitore said on social media, offering thanks for the continued support for the firefighter’s recovery with the hashtags #communityspirit and #thoughtsprayersappreciated.
