Fire that displaced hundreds may have saved woman’s life
An early morning high-rise fire that displaced more than 200 residents at least temporarily, may have inadvertently saved a life, first responders said Wednesday afternoon.
Thanks to the door-to-door search of every floor that fire crews conduct as protocol, firefighters found a woman in her 50s in one of the units who had fallen into a diabetic coma.
Paramedics were able to stabilize her and took her to the hospital in serious condition.
