False alarm gun call turns out to be plea for roadside assistance

A false alarm 911 call for a man waving a gun on Highway 417 near Kanata turned out to be nothing more than a stranded motorist flagging others for help.
A Facebook post quickly made the rounds Sunday morning warning people to “Be careful around Kanata … there was a man on the Queensway walking with a gun … pointed it right at (the) car around Eagleson. They called 911.”
