Ex-hostage Joshua Boyle makes Ottawa court appearance

Joshua Boyle, the former hostage now facing 15 charges including sexual assault, assault and forcible confinement, will remain in custody following a brief court appearance Monday.
Boyle, 34, wearing an orange jail-issued jumpsuit, said little as he addressed court while his defence team set a date for a judicial pretrial hearing.
Boyle has not yet had a bail hearing and remains in custody at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre, where he appeared Monday by video link.
