Elton John retirement tour to hit Ottawa one final time

Elton John’s Yellow Brick Road will wind its way through Ottawa one final time as the venerable rocker announced his retirement Wednesday in a lavish video, unveiling the first leg of an estimated 300-date farewell tour.
The 70-year-old legend will perform at the Canadian Tire Centre Sept. 28. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 2 for the first leg of the world tour, which kicks off in Pennsylvania Sept. 8, with stops in Toronto Sept. 25 and 26, in Quebec City Sept. 29, and in Montreal Oct. 4.
