Elgin Street's Boko Bakery closing after 36 years

The Boko Bakery on Elgin Street is closing by Dec. 1 but take heart as the owners say “stay tuned” for future projects.
The business was established in 1982 and has become most famous for its whimsically-decorated cookies on themes from Pokémon to Pride Week.
In a social media statement Monday, “Yoko and the Boko Bakery Family” explain that their lease is up Nov. 30 and the owner wants to retire to spend more time with her dad, “Boko Grandpa.”
