Editorial: Lessons from the tornadoes

The tornadoes eight days ago blew away a lot of assumptions. For instance, the assumption that we are insulated from large-scale disasters. Between the 1994 Aylmer tornado, the 1998 ice storm, the 2017 floods and the Sept. 21 twisters, we have learned that we are not.
