Editorial: Do some homework before hiring these teachers
Ottawa school boards are hiring 500 new teachers for the next school year. Most of that number is due to expanding student numbers locally, or replacements for retiring teachers. But the hires are also troubling reminders of the disconnect that sometimes occurs between spending and results in Ontario public education.
