Doucet rails against Timbercreek demolition in Heron Gate

Mayoral candidate Clive Doucet says he wouldn’t let a landlord gentrify a piece of Heron Gate with tall towers to replace affordable housing.
“I would not be creating a system where you’re actually advantaging the mismanagement of property and rewarding that mismanagement with an upzoning,” Doucet said Thursday. “I think that’s unconscionable.”
Timbercreek Communities is evicting 105 households from its Heron Gate properties because the company says the
