Derick Brassard will need shoulder surgery
The Ottawa Senators could start next season without centre Derick Brassard.
Senators GM Pierre Dorion announced Tuesday that Brassard, who suffered a right shoulder injury during the club’s loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the final round of the playoffs, will have surgery on a torn labrum and the recovery time is four-to-five months.
