Denley: Community college instructors should put students first

Let’s hope Ontario’s community college teachers don’t expect much public sympathy for a strike that is disrupting the education of hundreds of thousands of students, including those at two colleges in Ottawa.
This strike is not primarily about pay. The college teachers have already received a reasonable offer of 7.75 per cent over four years. The real issue here is who runs the province’s community colleges, the workers or the management.
