Corner store robber claimed to have bomb: Police

A suspect who robbed a Vanier convenience store Saturday claimed to have a bomb and brandished a remote he said he’d use to blow up the clerk if he didn’t get cash, police allege.
The clerk of the store on Shakespeare Street called 911 and patrol officers responded and arrested a suspect, who was still in the store, without incident.
Camil Darwich, 51, appeared in court Sunday on charges of robbery and disguise with intent.ALSO IN THE NEWS:
