Cooks from Ottawa’s namesake warship win “Galley Wars” in the U.S.

The Royal Canadian Navy culinary specialist team aboard HMCS Ottawa won the “Galley Wars” competition in Los Angeles. The event, judged by celebrity chefs Robert Irvine, Mei Lin and Steve Samson, is part of LA Fleet Week, an event held Sept. 1-4.
HMCS Ottawa culinary specialists went up against teams from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines and U.S. Coast Guard.
