Cloutier: Ottawa 2017 was a resounding success

I am the co-chair of Ottawa 2017 and disappointed to read Paul Dewar’s op-ed of Aug. 11.
He writes disdainfully about some of the events that were hosted as part of Ottawa 2017 celebrations. It is regrettable that Dewar was so dismissive to the thousands of volunteers and hard work Ottawa 2017 has put into this year-long celebration. His comments betray a lack of understanding of the importance of the tourism industry for workers and businesses in Ottawa.
