City, law enforcement still standing down as injection tent hits seven weeks
The unsanctioned supervised injection tent in a Lowertown park will have been operating for seven weeks on Friday and city hall still hasn’t figured out what to do about it.
Top officials are trying to move the tent from Raphael Brunet Park to another location. Mayor Jim Watson continues to leave it up to law enforcement to decide how to handle Overdose Prevention Ottawa’s makeshift injection site, which is open for three hours each evening.
