City fined after train blows through signal again

The City of Ottawa has been fined $42,708.06 because a Trillium Line train blew a signal last May — not the first time it has happened.
Transportation general manager John Manconi told council in a memo on Friday that on May 3, a train was travelling at a low speed as it approached a passing track. It rolled through a red signal after a train travelling in the opposite direction had already passed, the memo said.
