Chemistry building at Carleton to remain closed Monday after weekend fire

Carleton University’s chemistry building was to remain closed Monday after fire broke out on the second floor Saturday evening, sending smoke through the building and prompting a campus-wide safety alert.
The cleanup and restoration continued Sunday in the Steacie building and classes, tutorials and labs have been temporarily moved to alternate locations. Affected students with any questions were asked to contact scheduling@carleton.ca.
