CEO's request for pre-paid gift cards a scam, police say

Scammers are targeting administrative employees with e-mails claiming to be from their company’s CEO and asking them to buy pre-paid gift cards and forward the number on the back.
But it wasn’t the boss, the employees quickly learn, and the cash is gone.
The codes are sold online and spent abroad within minutes.
