Centre Block evacuated after false-alarm reports of smoke

It turned out to be a false alarm – at least for those who had their umbrellas.
On the day the Liberals are set to deliver their fiscal update, the Centre Block was evacuated after a 9:07 a.m. call reporting smoke in the building.
Fire crews search the building and found no sign of a fire and staff were heading back into the building at about 9:30 p.m.
