Carling highrise fire contained to electrical room

Firefighters were asking motorists to avoid Carling Avenue between Grenon Avenue and Judge Street as they tackle a fire in an electrical room in a Carling Avenue highrise apartment building.
The service responded to calls at 2880 Carling Ave. at 9:46 a.m. for reports of visible smoke.
A working fire was activated but firefighters were able to contain the blaze and didn’t require additional resources.
