Capital jobless rate steady at 5.8 per cent in October

The capital region jobless rate remained steady at 5.8 per cent in October over September, Statistics Canada reported Friday.
The number of jobs was down1,200, while the labour force shrank by a similar amount.
Nationally the unemployment rate was up 0.1 per cent to 6.3 per cent, although the economy added 35,300 net jobs in October.
