Canadian naval monument to be unveiled Friday

A ceremony will be held Friday at CFB Esquimalt, BC to unveil a monument dedicated to the establishment of the Canadian Naval Service in 1910.
The guest of honour for the ceremony will be Vice Admiral (ret.) Nigel Brodeur, whose grandfather was Canada’s first Naval Minister and instrumental to the establishment of the service, according to the Royal Canadian Navy’s announcement.
