Canada wants to arm Ukraine while providing peacekeepers to monitor fighting there

The Liberal government has paved the way for providing arms to Ukraine so it can better do battle with Russian-backed rebels.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko noted that Canada’s move “provides the legal grounds for the supply of many types of weapons to Ukraine.”
