Canada lags in laws protecting the donor-conceived, advocacy group says

Indiana became the first state in the U.S. to pass a law making it illegal for a doctor to use his own sperm to inseminate patients earlier this year. The actions of Indianapolis fertility doctor Dr. Donald Cline became a lightning rod for the legislation after genetic testing revealed he secretly used his own sperm to impregnate patients in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
