Canada Day preparations clog downtown Ottawa traffic

A steady stream of OC Transpo and STO buses crawled along Wellington and Metcalfe streets and the Mackenzie King Bridge on Wednesday, a day after pre-Canada Day street preparations created rush hour havoc in the downtown core.
Valentina Hansen and Sandra Fang, both 15, were on the No. 95 bus heading toward Barrhaven after spending a day at the ByWard Market and the Rideau Centre.
