Busy weekend for Sûreté du Québec officers

Police officers with the Sûreté du Québec were kept busy over the weekend dealing with speeders and drivers suspected of operating a motor vehicle while inebriated.
According to police, a teenager was stopped on Friday (Sept. 28) around 11 p.m. for travelling in excess of 165 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. Police said they caught the 17-year-old boy from Gatineau travelling eastbound on Highway 50 near pont des Draveurs. He was issued a fine of more than $1,400 and 18 demerit
