'Blue is the new white' for Ottawa ambulances

New city ambulances will look a little different, especially at night.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service will equip 2019 and later vehicles with blue instead of white lights in addition to the flashing red lights.
It’s part of new provincial standards aimed at making emergency vehicles more visible after dark, paramedic spokesman Marc Antoine Deschamps said.
Ambulances will still have red lights “so people don’t mistake us for snow plows,” Deschamps said.
