Be careful: A flash freeze warning is in effect
Ottawa awoke to a record-setting 10 C, slushy roads and a thick blanket of fog in some areas.
The morning temperatures, which topped 12 C by 9 a.m. smashed the previous record high for this date, 4.2 C set in 2007.
But things are going to change – and fast– with a flash freeze then heavy snow on the way, Environment Canada warns in not one but two alerts for the national capital area.
