Barn destroyed in W. Carleton fire

An investigator has been called to the scene of a fire early Saturday that destroyed a small barn at 1635 Marchurst Rd. in the West Carleton area.
Ottawa Fire Services received the call shortly after midnight. The homeowners confirmed there were some small animals in the structure.
Firefighters adopted a defensive attack on the fully involved fire to prevent spread to other buildings. It was declared under control at 1:12 a.m.
There were no injuries and no immediate estimate of damages.ALSO IN T
