Bar and grill singed in early morning fire

Firefighters were called at about 4 a.m. Thursday to Zaky Grill and Broast near the intersection of Maitland Avenue and Baseline Road.
Firefighters arrived at the strip mall where the restaurant is located to find smoke visible from the roof of the unit. An immediate attack on the blaze brought the fire under control by 4:30 a.m.
Firefighters said some smoke managed to penetrate an adjoining Ren’s Pets store, which suffered minor smoke damage as a result. There were no pets inside the stor
