For her 2015 debut album Touchstone, the young pianist Ariel Pocock surrounded herself with some of the jazz world’s A-listers. Saxophonist Seamus Blake, bassist Larry Grenadier, guitarist Julian Lage and drummer Eric Harland all lent their top-tier talents to the project. Pocock’s sophomore disc, Living In Twilight, is not so star-studded. But this CD may well be a more satisfying album.
