Argo players spooked by nearby 'high risk' traffic stop on Highway 417

A ‘high risk’ traffic stop snarled the westbound Queensway near Nicholas Street Wednesday morning and spooked several players with the visiting Toronto Argonauts who watched the incident unfold.
Ottawa police stopped the vehicle at around 11:30 a.m. and tweeted a warning about westbound traffic disruption because of a “police operation” on Highway 417.
The Argos, in town for Sunday’s Grey Cup, were practising at the University of Ottawa field next to the highway.
