Argentine navy denies claims by relatives that missing submarine was in poor shape

Argentine navy officials say the submarine that went missing last week was checked just days before sailing and was deemed to be in good shape and ready for its voyage.
ARA San Juan, a German-built diesel-electric sub, left the port of Ushuaia on Nov. 8 on a training mission. It has not been seen since and there are fears the 44-member crew has perished after a possible explosion.
