Antiques: Lamp sheds light and history

Q This lamp came from the area of Ottawa’s present bus terminal where the backs of old houses were colourfully painted by a house painter with his leftover paints. My husband undertook doing a watercolour of this vibrant scene. A resident woman asked him for advice on this lamp which was full of dust and had glass panels missing but my husband thought it was beautiful and purchased it.
