Antiques: $35,000 Group of Seven painting makes big impression

Q: My family has had this Group of Seven painting ever since it was received from my grand uncle as a wedding gift to my parents upon their marriage in 1935. We have often wondered what public or private history may be behind “The Red Barn” from its painted signature and date of ‘L.L. FITZGERALD 1921.’ It measures 20 x 28 cm tall (8 x 11 inches).
