Algonquin College back on grid as source of outage ID'ed

Algonquin College’s city campus has been hooked back up to the city’s power grid after workers discovered that the cause of outages that started Friday wasn’t aging infrastructure but a quick-to-replace part at the power plant.
That meant that the fix wasn’t “major and prolonged work” as feared but instead immediate work to replace a  failed component in the main high-voltage switch gear in the central plant, college president Cheryl Jensen said in a stat
