Ailing Jonathan Pitre monitored for possible perforated bowel
Doctors are monitoring Jonathan Pitre for signs of a perforated bowel — a complication that could send him back into surgery in Minneapolis.
Tests this week have revealed the presence of air in his bowel wall, a development that could explain the high fever that hospitalized him last week. He also spent several days in the intensive care unit with serious breathing problems.
“We definitely think it was all linked: This can be pretty serious,” said his mother, Tina Boileau
