After appendix surgery, Mayor Watson will miss Saturday's NHL100 Classic game

Mayor Jim Watson will have to watch Saturday’s NHL100 Classic from the comforts of his hospital bed.
After chairing a lengthy council meeting on Wednesday, with the highlight being the passage of the 2018 budget, Watson was admitted to the Queensway Carleton Hospital after experiencing “significant pain.”
He had his appendix removed later that evening and remains in hospital. 
On Friday, his office announced the mayor will not return to Ottawa City Hall until 2018. &l
